Накануне нового 2015 года в Баку состоялось открытие самой большой мечети на Кавказе. Названа она была в честь общенационального лидера Гейдара Алиева.
Мечеть была построена в стиле Ширванской архитектуры, имеет 4 минарета,9 малых и больших куполов, диаметр самого крупного из куполов – 36 метров. Общая высота мечети – 81 метр. Нижняя часть главного купола мечети расписана аятами из Корана.
On the eve of the new 2015, in Baku city was opened the largest mosque of the Caucasus. Religious building was named after national leader Heydar Aliyev.
