На протяжении веков, мастера- ремесленники со скрупулёзной проработкой деталей, создавали изделия отличающиеся тонкой росписью и сложными восточными орнаментами. Из узкого носика светильника высовывался один конец фитиля, а другой был погружен в растительное масло, нефть или мазут.
